Hi guys,

I think it’s a good idea to be aware of the latest techniques and news in writing field. Do you know anything about some seminars or trainings for writers? If it is a good seminar I’m ready to attend and pay for it. I would appreciate any information on this matter.

That’s a good idea. I’m sure there are quite a lot of seminars but this topic is not so widely discussed.   Wink I think this event may be interesting for you: www.authorhouse.com/Seminars/Default.aspx The next seminar will be held in London in April. I have not ever attended this one and that’s why cannot say definitely if it is worth visiting.

Reading online guides is helpful but they are all good in theory. And sometimes I need to talk to talk to a real person and ask questions. And I think I can do it during some seminar or training devoted to freelance writing. I’ve never visited any because they are not held in my city. Recently I came across one event to be held in NY on April 30 http://www.mediabistro.com/courses/cache/crs2512.asp. Has anyone something to say about it? Or may be I should consider other option?

This could be helpful not only for a beginner. You can find there what you need, I mean talking to others, sharing experience, etc. You can even establish some contacts with your future customers there Smiley And $ 65 is not a price for a good seminar especially if you are located not far from New York.

Do you have information about such seminars which are held in Germany? I don't think I would travel so far as New York, but I would attend seminars in Germany with pleasure! So if have some information - please share with me and my colleagues

I could not attend that meeting even if I would like to.
The web-site is very interesting, it's the first online university in the world!
And in 1999, JIU became the first fully online university in the U.S. to be accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and a member of the North Central Association.

As for me, I don't need online education and I think studying in the real university has much more benefits: friends, live communication, lectures.  Wink But online education could be great source for second degree.

Does anyone tried online education?
