I am getting tired of the whole  internet thing. Is there really any F people out there to read any posts here or any where at all?!

I have just finished the 2nd draft of my horror script, feeling exhausted rather than excited. I want myself to be tested, or my talent to be tested, or none of nothing to be tested. Damn, for all this I feel horrible.

I am chinese, female, a horror writer for the time being . My name is Lin. I think my script is second to perfection.

Most people are stupid around me, but sometimes i have to confort myself by thinking -- Ohh, that is not that bad in the end as it is better being dumb than being evil.

Why should I write a script trying to entertain others as nobody ever tried to entertain me in real life? Perhaps I write the script for myself, trying the touch the soul of Heaven. People on this planet are stupid and evil, they deserve to be scared to death. Aha, I speak for myself.

Now who wanna read my script? If none, then hell to you all. I will make it to the screen anyway, just beacuse I want to see your scared face seeing my movie. Aha, that  is enjoyable. And I am a horror writer for the time being.

It annoys me as a writer when I read my post the 2nd time and find out some unnecessary spelling mistakes, I feel really really gutted. But I am a good writer, and I will always be!

If most of people around you are stupid then change your company, China has the largest population in the world (don't remember exactly, but more than 1.5 billion).
I'm sure you will find sweet and clever people who will entertain you.

But your post is filled with hatered. Does this hatered give you inspiration? I think there must be something beyound it

Of course it would be interesting to read this story. I advise you to post it in "Litereature"

Hi, Lin

I think you shouldn’t be so self confident especially if editors are not fighting to get your stories.  Wink Relax a bit, take a look at nature around you.  After some time you’ll see that not all the people around you are stupid...

Lin,
Hopefully, by now you have calmed down a bit since your initial invective. Insulting people from whom you seek help is hardly the way to get them to want to help. Now try looking at your manuscript realistically. You say you just finished your second draft; how long has it been since you completed your first draft?  If you have just completed your second draft, chances are, you need to put it away for a while and let it 'steep'. Go on to some other project. Is this your first completed manuscript? If so, congratulations! That is a huge step! Is it written in English or Chinese or some other language? How long is it? 50,000 words? 75,000 words? 150,000 words? Is it too short? Too long? Are there grammatical errors you might not have noticed but which would stand out to an agent? (Even the best have that problem from time to time.) Have you already submitted it to agents for reading? If so, and you can't get anyone in the business to read it, maybe the problem is not in your ms but in your cover letter or submission pkg.

Now, if you truly have written something that is near to perfection, you are a rare bird, indeed. Those of us who have been in this business for years  (almost twenty in my case) are awed by your skills.

It is quite difficult to judge our own work objectively. Chances are your ms. is not quite as flawless as you believe. If you are writing in English as a second language, you probably have about half a dozen re-writes before you are ready to submit it to an agent.

Writing a story is the easy part. Getting someone who can do something with it to look at it is the tough part. Bear in mind, first time writers who sell blockbuster novels are the exception, not the rule.
