'Journalism is literature in a hurry', as Matthew Arnold put it. Then journalists are writers as well. Sure, journalism writing has its peculiarities that make it different from other genres. I think that thread about journalism writing is essential, because freelance writers frequently write some articles for publishing and that's why there's a need of good resources on journalism writing.
Those guys who have been in journalism, please share what resources you know. I have already posted a link to poynter.org.
To get a general idea on journalism, journalism.wikia.com is a good place to start with.
Please contribute to this topic with your resources.

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
