Hello All,
I have recently developed interest in writing and looking forward to develop strong writing skills. Below given is the first piece of personal experience that I have framed through words and I would like to have your word for the effort.

I know that it is not perfectly written and need several amendments, can anyone please check it and tell me what is wrong with it and also the areas of improvement and few tips and tricks for writing. Also what are the hurdles that a person faces to make its writing get published?

My Passion For Reading

It's not been too long since I have started reading avidly, all this began just 3 to 4 years back when I was doing my Bachelors. Until that time I used to read magazines and newspapers or whatever came along the way but didn't realize that I could also adore this valuable activity. During third year of my Bachelors I saw my friend reading an Urdu Novel, Laahasil written by Humera Ahmed, and I asked him to lend it just to peruse it. But that emerged to be interesting novel, hence it was the first novel I read utterly and found to have a growing interest in reading but unfortunately time didn't let me due to examination. After examination it was summer vacation and I couldn't meet my friend to lend me any more books, thus nothing came in my way for quite long. But to keep myself engrossed with books I got through my storeroom in search of Classical Novels which I read as course book of English Literature during my schooling. There I found Gulliver’s Travel, Oliver Twist, Kidnapped, A Tale of Two Cities, and Midsummer Night’s Dream. I occupied myself with these classics and loved the way authors had poured their beliefs, experiences and fascination over manuscripts.

Later during beginning of next semester, the very same friend of my gave me Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban (Book 3 of the series). To read that novel was an incredible experience which intensified the passion for reading and the affection for tiny creatures spread all over the pages in the world of books.

Consequently I started reading the series of Harry Potter right from the start and developed a fondness for fictional books. Soon after finishing the series I moved towards the genre of books with more realism and read Are You Afraid Of The Dark written by Sidney Sheldon and The Ranch by Danielle Steel.  So forth the catenarian reading of fictional and realistic books and novels is in progress and will go on till I don’t feel tedious of reading.
