Thanks Alan!
After looking through the links you've posted in this topic I've started thinking of creating my own blog. I love reading some blogs but had doubts whether I am able to do something similar. But information in your resources can serve significantly to the purpose of creating a personal blog.

I frequently visit my fellow writers' blogs and that's kind of fun to post comments there, but it's definitely not easy to maintain your blog. You constantly need to provide new content there and be quite original to attract attention of users.

Guys, can you help with my blog idea?
I write both in English and in German. Can I create a blog which would be bilingual?
For example, in German version articles in German would be displayed and in English version - those written in English. Also some articles I have in both languages or I plan to translate some German articles of mine (which I admire) in English.
Thank you for help!  Wink

I was looking for  a different blog systems and one of my friends advised me WordPress (http://wordpress.com/)
What do you think about it?
I still have not enough time to spend it on creating blog, but may be in a month or in September I will start it so now I'm looking for the best choice.

WordPress is a good choice, Sarah.
You can host your blog not only on wordpress.com
You can buy a domain naime and hosting which will have nice name, i.e
http://sarah.de/
but unfortunately this domain name is taken, there is a photoalbum of one page!
You can try to communicate with owner, may be he or she will sell you this domain.
http://www.sarah.com/
is also taken, there are some senseless messages!

You can check the availability of domains here:
http://domain-suggestions.domaintools.com/

You can register your domain and install blog system there. So you will have the same blog but will your name  Wink
