As I have mentioned in another topic, now I'm looking to the different blog systems and comparing them. I saw many blogs at blogspot.com and here is the quotation from one of them (http://anvilcloud.blogspot.com/):

If you've arrived shortly after this was posted, we're on our way to Canada's West Coast for three weeks. If you've take awhile to land here, we're might already there by now. Yes, depending on your hour, we are or will be visiting the A-team in Vancouver and heading to some other destinations from there, maybe Tofino or wherever the winds choose to port us.

But ... wherever that is, we won't be posting about our exploits on this blog. We've created a blog especially for this and other trips and called it Rambling and Roving, and we've located it here on WordPress. Why not Blogger? No particular reason except I might as well learn another system. If I ever get around to hosting my own blog on my own webspace, I will likely use WordPress software, so I thought that I might as well use this opportunity to get my feet wet.

Except for the next three weeks, however, this space will still be my primary blogging space, just as Brown Betty Brew will likely remain as Cuppa's venue. In the meantime, would you please head over to Rambling and Roving and say hello. For those who don't wish to track yet another blog, I will post reminders of updates here.

One thing I might add: WordPress allows us to post extra pages, so in addition to the profile, I have also posted a tab called About This Blog. Hope to see you there.

This man creates another blog at the WordPress, because he wants to learn the system.
My preferences is on the WordPress side also.
You can watch his new blog at http://anvilcloud.wordpress.com/
It is much more beautiful. Moreover there are a lot of nice photoes, if you are interested in Canada you need to look at them.

Those pics are just great! I don’t have my personal blog, don’t need it.

Oplimpic, the blog can be a very useful tool for self-promotion.  Why do you ignore this opportunity ?Bog and website stuff is being discussed here http://www.writersclub.net/help_and_suggestions/personal_blogs_or_sites_are_they_of_any_use_for_writers-t19.0.html

I’m sure that a blog or website cannot be a replacement for the person. If a person’s writing is poor and you get rejections from a publisher there is no blog or website that can fix it Wink.

But let's look from another side.
If the person with poor wtitings get a rejection from one publisher, he looks for another and anyway he or she will publish poor writing by own cost if it is so important for self-realization.
But if this person will create personal blog and will post poor writing there - he or she won't need the pulisher, their self-realization would be fullfilled. The one more poor page in web is less worse than several thousands of paper issues.

Comparing these two blogs, I will say that Wordpress one has better appearance and a lot of photoes, but Blogpost blog has videos and also has some features which Wordpress lacks.
I will make the conclusion that there is no ideal blog system, you need to check several systems and then decide which one fits better for your requirements.

As I have already mentioned, my choice is Wordpress.
I like blogs which are created on this system and hosted on .info, .org, .com domain names

And this is from responce which I've got.
It might be interesting for everyone:

"I like some things about WordPress. You can time a post to publish later on, and you can track your own blog stats better. I also like the comment system where people have to supply their email address. It's easier to get back to people like that if I want to.

Blogger, however, gives you all sorts flexibility with the template design. For example: I'll probably post a new summer template soon in Blogger, but I'm limited to changing the header in WordPress. It also lets you do a little more with the code inside a post. If I want to float a photo left or right in Blogger, they don't have a problem with it, but WP does. I can add my own things to the sidebar in Blogger while WordPress limits my selection to their choices.

I went to WordPress to get a little bit familiar with it because if I ever want to host my own blog, I'm sure I'll use WP software. But I think I find Blogger to be a somewhat preferrable host. That being said, I really do like the WP features that I've mentioned above.

In the end, each system has its strengths (and weaknesses), and you'd probably be happy with either. There are probably other fine services out there -- Typepad, for example "

AC

PS: As I said, I decided not to register and post this, but you may if you wish. However, people have probably moved on to other topics by now.

I've visited typepad.com andthis motto captured my attention:
"It’s the only blog service worth paying for"

As I understand this system has no free or trial version.
Well, may be it is worth paying for, but I'm not so interested in blogs.

I understood that it is very important to have own blog - because it is the best way to share thoughts with web-community.

The best blog system is Wordpress - you can install it on your hosting and there are a lot of features and plugins.

I've recently made my blog, you can look and even evaluate it:

yeah, you can also put your comments there Wink
