I remember once I've heard this rhethorical question which impressed me much.
If you know that you have some disease (AIDS, cancer, etc. it's not important which particulary) and you will die in a month period. What will you do? Surely you won't work because earning money becomes useless.
This is a writers forums and for most of users - writing is the profession, hobby, vital thing. Would you stop writing to enjoy your last days of living? Or on the contrast, you will hurry up to write those things you need to share with this world before your death?

I can understand you, several months ago I could say the same thing.
But when your friend has lung cancer you really change your view on death...
may be that's why I have started this thread...

I like writing but not that much. For it's mostly source of income.
I think I'll do more vital thing like being together with my family and the person I love.

I will. I will definitely describe my feelings. However I won't think about publishing them, it can be done by my relatives or friends.
I won't write articles for money, may be just one article in which I will describe with true words my inner feelings.

But I don't want to imagine myself in such situation.

I will try to do things I’ve missed or never did like parachute jump, hunting and may be even some drugs. I will not write for money ‘cos I won’t need them.

I’ve never thought about it before….Well,  there are some people I’ve hurt and I guess I will ask them to forgive me.

And also if there are some people who hurt you, it's a brilliant chance for revenge  Grin Grin Grin

I will visit the church every day and will start doing “good things” like charity etc. May be with a help of god I will manage to prolong my life for some more time. ...

Yes. Writing is something that can immortalize the thoughts that I was having at that point in time. If I knew I was going out, I would want people to understand what I was thinking as I went through the remainder of my life. Who knows, it might help someone through what I had gone through, and possibly prepare them for what might be happening. Even if it's just a family member, or a friend.

I recommend NOT waiting for the news that you have a month to live. Start writing your legacy now....
